Barbara is a bicultural TV journalist and trilingual (English, French and German) living and working in Paris for over 30 years initially for ABC News US, then ITV News (ITN) GB and subsequently as a freelance news producer for BBC TV and Radio, Channel 4 News, CNN, NBC, Reuters… After having realised hundreds of television interviews in both English and French, Barbara naturally transformed herself into a media trainer, carrying out teaching in how to handle the media, public speaking and crisis management for top executives in both English and French in France and abroad. Although she has been a media trainer for several years she remains a freelance TV journalist essentially for British and US broadcasters.

Barbara has recently created an innovative offer with Phyllis ROOME offering two-session modules Firstly Phyllis teaches public speaking and presentation skills followed by Barbara who takes over to share media training and interview techniques

bilingual French English draws on her career as a radio producer and stage actress (as a member of the National Theatre and the BBC in London), to personalise each of her corporate coaching assignments. She teaches her clients  a sense of presence, clarity, timing, voice modulation, pacing and projection.

She works in the corporate world at all levels of management, both in the US and in Europe.  Phyllis also runs regular seminars for clients and together with Barbara Gray has recently launched Pro-Present 2 modules offering public speaking tuition followed by media training.

Since 2002 Stephen coaches top management and political leaders in public speaking and media training in both normal and in times of crisis.  He regularly teaches at l’ENA , the IEQT and OIC.  Stephen has ten years experience in economic and European journalism for Le Figaro, ARTE TV, Canal+ TV, and BFM TV.  For three years he also taught journalism techniques at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the CFPJ.

Stephen’s speciality is however – Synerologie  (this is an analytic method of reading and understanding non verbal communication). Stephen has himself learnt and thereby shares his knowledge of psychology, language and human science. With ten years of acting experience behind him, Stephen regularly offers classes in theatrical improvisation.  His multidisciplinary approach naturally leads him to share his experience in public speaking and media training

British-born Stephanie has spent most of her career in France. For twenty years, she ran Cappuccino, a PR and marketing agency which undertook media relations, event management and crisis communications for numerous French and international corporations and government bodies. Thanks to her understanding of the international business environment and the media, Stephanie trained her customers in public speaking, handling the press and how to manage crisis situations.

TEFL trained, she now devotes her time to preparing executives in France and beyond for presentations and media interviews.

Vernon Mann, ex senior correspondent for ITN, our British partner based in the UK conducts media training courses and workshops worldwide for companies like Shell International, Exxon, Mobil, British Airways, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways and others ranging from the UK Ministry of Defence to Hello! Magazine.

Mann has been running his training company for eighteen years and has developed a special knowledge of the airline industry and the oil business. For the above-mentioned airlines he has trained in London, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bangkok and Sydney, and for oil companies in China, Russia and often in the West Africa oil producing countries like Nigeria, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

His courses are highly interactive and practical, ranging from one-on-ones with senior management about to face the media on a controversial issue, day-long crisis media response workshops, to more general media awareness sessions in developing countries.

Il a par le passé travaillé pour Bloomberg TV à Londres, Euronews à Lyon et a organisé la stratégie des relations publiques pour The Wall Street Journal en Europe. Depuis dix ans il travaille aux cotés de groupes industriels internationaux ainsi que de PME pour les aider à définir avec succès leurs stratégies de communication.

Il y a cinq ans Carsten a fondé son agence media econNEWS réseau, basé à Hambourg. Cette société est spécialisée dans la communication des faits et accompagne ses clients dans la gestion de leurs relations publiques dans des grands médias au niveau national et international.

Carsten de nationalité allemand est bilingue allemand-anglais. Il possède un diplôme juridique de l’université de Constance ainsi que du droit du travail à la cour suprême allemande. Avec ce parcours il a acquis une forte expertise en communication de crise et il travaille régulièrement en étroite collaboration avec des cabinets d’avocats afin de défendre la réputation d’entreprises internationales, celle de leurs marques ainsi que des VIP’s.
